Bewersdorf Laboratory

Software

Our algorithm and software developments harnesses the potential of new microscopy techniques to answer biological questions. We leverage our knowledge of microscopy hardware and image formation to extract the highest quality data during imaging. This supports sensible analysis and has led to several algorithm development projects in the lab.

We strive not only to introduce new techniques, but to make them usable by others. We contribute heavily to the PYthon-Microscopy Environment (PYME), an open-source package created and maintained by our collaborator, David Baddeley, at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute. Our software developments can also be found on GitHub.
